Learn more about our dedicated team, working passionately to sustainably improve the lifelong health of mothers and children.
Herbert Fluhr - Head of the Department of Obstetrics
„Since 2021, I have been leading the Obstetrics department. The PregWin study is our department's central clinical research project, with a long-term focus on the health of children and mothers. By participating in this study as a pregnant woman, you make a significant contribution to developing important new insights and benefit from a special prenatal care program."
Christina Stern - Doctor
„As an obstetrician, I am dedicated to caring for women with high-risk pregnancies and exploring the fascinating interplay between the health of the mother and the development of the child. The PregWin study allows us to delve deeply into these interactions, aiming to gain new insights that can positively impact the long-term health of both mother and child."
Evelyn Jantscher-Krenn - Researcher
„I am fascinated with human milk oligosaccharides (HMOs), unique glycans found in breast milk, which are also present in maternal blood during pregnancy. I am investigating how maternal metabolism and life style factors influence HMOs and how this affects maternal and child health. My goal is to understand the roles of HMOs in pregnancy and their impact on lifelong health."
Ursula Hiden - Researcher
„Influences during pregnancy can affect the future health of the child, a process known as fetal programming. I am intrigued by the mechanisms behind, which my team and I investigate in cells obtained from the umbilical cord and umbilical cord blood. The PregWin study opens up innovative avenues for us to explore how we can reduce the risk of certain chronic diseases and enhance health from the very first moment of life."
Bettina Amtmann - Study Nurse
„For 14 years, I have been passionately dedicating myself to my role as a Study Nurse in the Obstetrics Department. Working with the women and babies is incredibly rewarding for me. It fills me with great joy to be part of the PregWin team and to be able to contribute my expertise."
Anna Dieberger - Midwife and researcher
„I work both as a midwife in the delivery rooms and as a researcher in the laboratory. This combination of clinical practice and scientific research brings me great joy, as I actively contribute to gaining new insights and can directly apply them in caring for our patients. My particular interest in the PregWin study is the change in body composition of mothers and their children during and after pregnancy."
